EUCOTTON
A brief description
Promoting Sustainable and High-Quality European Cotton
EUCOTTON
The EUCOTTON campaign, organized by the European Cotton Alliance, is a multi-annual promotional initiative (2022–2024) co-funded by the European Union. It aims to raise awareness and recognition of European cotton as a premium, sustainable, and traceable raw material.
With a strong presence in Greece and Spain, European cotton is cultivated using non-GMO seeds, advanced agricultural practices, and responsible resource management. The campaign targets textile supply chains, retailers, opinion leaders and consumers in Spain, Greece, Italy, Germany and France.
Actions include advertising, stakeholder engagement, education initiatives, and promotion of the EUCOTTON trademark—a European collective mark that certifies 100% European origin, sustainability, and quality.
Through this initiative, the campaign supports a shift toward transparent, ethical, and environmentally conscious textile production within Europe, strengthening the competitiveness of European cotton in both domestic and international markets.
