The Union of Santorini Cooperatives – Santo Wines implemented a comprehensive two-year promotional campaign (2022–2023) to enhance the visibility and market share of PDO Santorini wines in the United Kingdom.
The campaign focused on promoting the unique characteristics of Santorini wines—such as the indigenous Assyrtiko variety, traditional viticulture methods, and volcanic terroir—through a blend of media outreach, participation in prestigious wine events, educational collaborations, wine tastings, and familiarisation visits to Santorini.
Gastronomy
The initiative targeted wine professionals, importers, sommeliers, and trendsetters in gastronomy, aiming to position PDO Santorini wines as a distinctive, high-quality offering aligned with EU standards of authenticity and traceability.
